UK Flights Grounded Because Of Ash
No not a really rather raucous gig by the Band or a red capped Pokemon player but Volcanic ash spewing from the Eyjafjallajoekull area of Iceland (and no I’m not joking about the spelling of that!) The ash is so thick and has covered such a mass area it has managed to spread over a lot of Northern Britain and has grounded all flights to the UK and is causing chaos for air travellers everywhere. According to the BBC News report all internal flights to Manchester have been interrupted and it has even caused disruption with some flights from London, although that is only if you want to fly north somewhere. Most of Southern Britain isn’t too bad on cancellations.
So for the second time in a few years Iceland has managed to mess up a lot of peoples plans and that’s before we even mention the fact they pushed Kerry Katona into our lives for quite a long time.
Yes I just did a Iceland the place/Iceland the shop joke. It’s impossible not too!
It is all a bit mental though, who knew a place 1100 miles away could have such an effect on us? I would have thought if Iceland had a big boom from a Volcano the only way we would know about it is by reading the news!
I guess we should all watch some disaster movies to get us prepared for any more devastating flight cancellations.
