Transvestite In £120k Lingerie Robbery!
Every now and again a news story comes along that is so brilliantly weird, it makes me feel almost normal.
A 48 year old man called David O’Connel from Coventry, amassed an ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ of lingerie stolen from Marks and Spencer worth nearly £120,000. That’s more than the £69k worth of stolen lingerie stolen by the charity worker a few months ago!
In total he had built up a collection, over two and a half years, of almost 6,000 items of lingerie that I guess must have included almost the entire M&S collection! He has been jailed for 16 months for his offences, even after his amazing defence that he needed them for sexual gratification, somehow, did not let him get away with it. The judge said on his £40k a year salary he could afford to buy lingerie if that is what he really wanted to do, so the stealing was unnecessary and O’Connel could not be spared jail.
His secret lingerie fantasy land was found out after he was caught trying to steal three dresses, three tops and a skirt. Police went to his house and were apparently aroused amazed by the site of all the underwear.
