Tactical Nuclear Penguin
Being a cider drinker I often laugh in the face of rubbish weak beers with strengths of only 4.something percent, but it look as if I can laugh no more because BrewDog, the scottish company who have given us the Punk IPA and the controversial Speedball beers, have now got in more trouble by producing the worlds strongest beer coming in at a bed wettingly (literally!) strong 32%.
The beer which they have called the Tactical Nuclear Penguin because of its brewing technique that involves freezing, will be sold for £30 a bottle and should be drunk in spirit sized measures like a Bourbon or Brandy. At £30 a bottle it is quite obviously a beer for connosoirs and would be a special drink, not a cheap strong drink the local trouble makers would drink by the gallon. But that still doesn’t change the fact that people like to complain and BrewDog have been getting some heat because of the record breaking beer. FYI the old record was also held by them for a beer called Tokyo that was 18.2%, it also received complaints…. They hit back with a 1.1% beer and called it ‘Nanny State‘
I think you will agree they are obviously legends of the highest order and this little video shows how the beer was made. It involves penguin suits.
