Road To Moloch

Short films are getting put online to watch for free more and more often now, they are there so that everyone can enjoy them and to hopefully raise the profile of the people involved with it. It is a brilliant way of showing off your work and with the relative cheap cost of making a film now makes a lot of sense. I just found this short film by Robert Glickert on Vimeo and was absolutely blown away. It is a 15 minute long example of just what can be achieved nowadays with all the technology available at ridiculously cheap prices.

I make music in my spare time and use Logic Pro, which is an industry standard and costs hardly anything compared to the cost of analogue tape recorders of yesteryear (I am in no way saying Logic is better than analogue though…) I remember when I first had a playstation there were quite a few music making games available and now with the technology available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 they must  be able to make something amazing now that rivals most home studios!

Anyway I get distracted, read this is the summary of the film and then watch it below

While on a mission to locate three missing soldiers, a team of reconnaissance marines encounter a blood-spattered Iraqi stumbling through the desert. After following the distraught man into the depths of an insurgent cave, the marines make a horrifying discovery bringing them face-to-face with an ancient evil.
