Recycle For A Reason
Recycling is one of those things that everyone knows they really should do, it helps combat climate change, makes the places we live in cleaner etc etc, but sometimes it really is just another awful chore. Like most things in life people need a reason to do something, whether it be getting something for free or the feeling of good after helping out a charity, such as the organisation, Trinity, who will collect your old furniture and even sofas, clean them up and then put them in their own furniture recycling shops, which are staffed by local homeless people who are given the jobs and training to help them get back on their feet.
Trinity realised that to get people to give donations they would have to do all the hard work themselves, so without having to do much more than giving the charity a quick phone call to collect your unwanted sofas, you can feel satisfied with yourself that you saved more rubbish being collect at a landfill and at the same time helped out a deserving charity organisation.
The other incentive to get people to recycle is to give them something for (effectively) free. Electronics recycling firm ShP have done just that as it comes up to Christmas with an exchange scheme for old electrical goods. The company will pick up old equipment from a company or organisation and then value it and send back gift certificates so that the company can buy a variety of Christmas hampers from Marks & Spencer to use as gifts for employees, prizes at the office party or something similar. I imagine any company that realises it can get hampers for old equipment that is just cluttering up the office, will delight in the fact the Christmas bonuses will be very cheap for them this year…. The M&S range of hampers is quite varied as well so it seems like a very good deal and is definitely a good incentive to get recycling!
Talking of Christmas and gifts, this year why don’t you keep the recycling vibe alive and give ethical gifts that are easy to recycle or something like flowers, which will be easy to get rid off in an environmentally friendly way. The amount of plastic that gets thrown into landfills after Christmas because of unwanted gifts is staggering.

The environment is becoming endanger due to materials that are dumped and tagged as garbage. These has caused environmental concern since the garbage accumulation needs more lands to fill since it will not be decomposed. Recycling is really a tough thing and yet it will be helpful to dispose these materials or better yet give to those who will still be able to make use of it.
