I’ve talked about the Burj in Dubai before, when it was still called the Burj Dubai before the whole money troubles thing, well now it is called the Burj Khalifa after it had a massive building saving cash injection by (wait for it….) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan. What a name!

Anyway it had a massive grand opening not too long ago and with it being the tallest building in the world it was always going to grab the eye of daredevils and base jumpers. The view from the top must have been enough to send them into a giddy excitement at the thought of hurling themselves off of it.

Two experienced jumpers got the (legal) chance to do that recently and they even managed to set the world record for the highest base jump while they were at it – the height, 2,716ft!

There have been a few sightings of new Banksy material around according to the news recently and it looks as if he hasn’t shied away from the politics of his original works with a painting on a wall that is half submerged in water saying ‘I don’t believe in global warming’. Timed perfectly to coincide with the climate change Copenhagen talks and conferences it looks as if Banksy himself wants to raise the profile about climate change! Here are the 3 paintings that I can find pictures of, there is apparently a fourth but I cannot find anything on it.
