Mini Van Advertising FAIL or WIN?!

I honestly don’t know if this advert for Toyota a minivan is good or not.

It is supposed to be funny but I didn’t laugh and it just seems to be a bit too polished and ‘pro’ for something that has been done a million times before and this is a pretty poor attempt. But on the other hand I didn’t cringe whilst watching it and I did watch it all the way through without having to close the window so…

It also has a million plus views and I guess that is pretty good, especially when you think people choose to watch things online and even if half of that is people linking it to show friends how bad it is, any publicity is good publicity right?

So is this a successful advert for vans for sale or is it a bit of a half baked cash in on the ageing trend of ‘joke’ rap songs? Does it make you want go out and buy one of Toyota’s mini vans or does the thought of a dodgy accelerator still put you off? Would you ever even consider a minivan? Unless it is very old and cool like a split screen camper van I just don’t see the point, most can only hold 5 people anyway so just get a large saloon car and if it is for lugging stuff around every now and again just get van hire for a day or two!
