MiFi? UrFi?

3 have just announced a new version of mobile broadband called MiFi, which is a wireless modem that creates a WiFi connection on the move. This is different from normal 3G dongle type broadband connections because it creates a normal WiFi signal therefore allowing multiple devices to run off it. Ideal if you want to share a mobile broadband connection between several computers at once or a computer and a phone.

The MiFi service are due for release on September 17th and will work anywhere there is a 3 mobile network available. It seems to be definite contender to the current dongle based mobile broadband system and if it works as well as it should, it may even spell the end of the short lived dongle.
