I Went To A Great University
Freshers parties have been in the air the last couple of weeks and its a pretty awesome time for most people. My first few weeks at university was a pretty darn swell time and freshers week every year from then on just got better and better. Unfortunately it seems not everyone this year has managed to have a good or even a mediocre time, an unlucky18 year old student has been raped at my old university.
The University of Glamorgan in Treforest have said that an 18 year old student was raped in the early hours of Saturday morning (26/09/09) in the Glamorgan Court halls of residence, known as Beverly Hills to students because of its ‘posher’ reputation than the other halls. Its not known if the attacker was a student or not but he is said to be about 6ft tall, of ‘solid’ appearance and was wearing gloves and a dark hooded top. As well as probably ruining that young girls life its probably ruined the beginning of university for almost everyone in halls now. This terrible act will leave a stink above the year which will be hard to forget. I’m sure the 24 hour police presence on campus has relieved some people but has probably put an end to any kind of fun people might have also been having.
