Being Happy v The Tax Man

Sorry this might be a bit of a rant post but I get so frustrated every month when I get paid because I just don’t seem to end up with any money left after about 3 days of getting it! If it’s not things like rent, gas or electricity bills it is the thousands of different types of insurance you need to have nowadays but the main thing that gets me every month is the usual thing… tax!

You get stung massively for income tax and then you get council tax as well but wait if you have a car you also get car tax! Plus you know all the VAT that gets added to everything! So much tax yet so little of this do I see, the roads are a mess, the area by me isn’t that well maintained and all my money seems to be put into stupid things that nobody really has any say about. Now don’t get me wrong Tax is a good thing and you need to pay it to get the good things we have like the NHS and all of the police and fire fighters etc but the tax rates are just ridiculous at the moment! Especially for a car, it costs me 120 of my very hard earned pounds just to give me the privilege of driving on the pothole ridden death-traps that the UK calls roads for 6 months! And most of that is being spent on stupid speed cameras that have been proven time and time again to not work but they will never get rid of them because they see the fines as just another little bonus tax they get! Outrageous!

Anyway I’m just in a bit of a mood because I got paid yesterday and almost half has already gone!
