£69k worth of Lingerie

According to STL Today a local Orphanage employee is on trial accused of buying $69,000 worth of lingerie, as well as assorted other items including plane tickets and paying her utilities bills, on the charities company credit card! The woman in question has pleaded not guilty, which I dont really get, is she going to say she had permission to use it for her own personal spending? Apparently she used the card from 2004 till 2009, surely they should have noticed that earlier! How anyone could actually rip off a charity I dont know, I thought only bad guys in films stole from charities!

The thing that amazes me most is the fact she managed to spend so much on lingerie! (and such a brilliant amount as well…) I wont spend anything near that in my whole lifetime, is she wearing gold encrusted knickers or something?

It would seem to me the obvious answer is NO & the the operative word would be alleged … as much as lurid trumped stories fascinate the public , wouldn’t you research the topic a little before you make judgements ????? Yellow journalism exists everywhere, my friend, you Brits should certainly know that. Those closer to the subject know the truth will be revealed soon enough. Enuff said !
